Jeff Mall from Zin and Meghan Ainsworth from Mosaic will be joining us on KSRO's The Drive today at 4:05 and we need your help by asking our chefs any question you want.

Boxers or briefs? What was their favorite meal growing up? Why did you get into cooking? What is your favorite Lady Gaga song?  Anything....

Please leave a comment on the Facebook page, or tweet with the hashtag #SoCoDining and our favorite questions will be answered LIVE on-air and the tweeter or Facebook fan that we choose will win a gift certificate to a participating Sonoma County Restaurant Week restaurant!  Mean spirited questions will be deleted and not eligible (yes, this is up to our digression).

Listen live at 4:30 to see if your question is chosen!

    http://www.ksro.com/ListenLive.aspx

Thanks to everyone who has participated in Sonoma County Restaurant Week. This event would not have been a success if it were not for all of you!

    Cheers!

Wine County’s favorite cupcake shop, Sift: a Cupcakery just opened their third location in downtown Santa Rosa.

Owner, Andrea Ballus is excited to bring her cupcake creations to Santa Rosa because “it is the heart of wine country and a central place for anyone to pick up a dozen cupcakes or stop in for a quick dessert after dinner, drinks or a movie.”

For this very reason, they will be staying open until 9PM on weekends.  Pretty cool.

The owner of Sift: a Cupcakery emailed me (and others on her email newsletter list) that her new Santa Rosa store which was schedlued to open at 10AM won't be able to be open until 2PM today.

    Dear Cupcake Lovers,

I am unfortunately writing today's update because the Santa Rosa building has other plans for our opening today. They will not let us open until after 2pm! We were devastated to find this out...and are so sorry for any inconvenience for our customers.

    Thanks for your support,

    Andrea

As you might know, Sonoma County Restaurant Week is my latest project.  I have been put in charge of all social media interaction with the public and Philip (my Two Five Media counterpart) has been adding all the menus and changing up the website as needed.   We are both so honored to be a part of Sonoma County’s first attempt at a restaurant week and both so proud to call this area our home that we are doing everything we can to make sure this event is a success!

In order to help out with some promotions, we are putting a call out to all of our friends in the food/wine/beer world for your help in promoting Sonoma County Restaurant Week.  Please read below or visit the Facebook page for more details!

Here are some friends who have already written about the event:

BrixChicks: Make a Date with Sonoma's Finest! It's Restaurant Week!

Vinotology Supporting Local Business, Sonoma Style

More details for my blogging friends:

Write anything you want about Sonoma County Restaurant Week on your blog, linking back to http://www.sonomacountyrestaurantweek.org/.  Attach your blog post to our Facebook Page and/or Twitter, using @SoCoRestWeek in your tweet.  We will be taking the names of each blogger and submitting them into a random drawing to win either a $25 or $50 gift certificate to one of our participating restaurants.

*Only one blog post per blogger will be accepted, but please feel free to write about Sonoma County Restaurant Week on all your different blog accounts.*

*The number of prizes depends on the number of entries, so please tell your friends*

*Only blogs that have more than 10 posts will be eligible (this makes it fair to bloggers who have been writing for more than a few days)*

    More information: http://www.sonomacountyrestaurantweek.org/!

    Thanks!

If you haven't already hear the news that Murphy-Goode alumni Hardy Wallace just moved into the Michel-Schlumberger Wine Estate... What is wrong with you??

Have you been off Twitter today?  Do you actually get a day off for Presidents Day?  Well, okay.. I will allow you not to be on top of it.  Just for today....

Anyway.   The BIG news that Mr. @SonomaWineGuy has been bragging about for the last two weeks is that Mr. Dirty himself, @DirtySouthWine is moving in to their second guest suite starting today...  In exchange for some videos (and extra secret 'favors" that isn't appropriate to mention right now).  Just kidding... kinda.

I am of course, completely jealous of this fact.   But thankfully, I get to call Michel-Schlumberger one of my clients (and my 'happy place") and will be helping out with some fun promotions that the boys have up their sleeves!

Dry Creek Valley truly is a gorgeous place!
