December 2010 news: Just became the Santa Rosa Vegetarian Food Examiner for Examiner.com

Shana Ray is a self proclaimed twitter addict, and loves talking in the third person when writing bios.   She has worked with top national brands and local businesses, including Hewlett Packard, Clos du Bois, Icon Wine Estates, Snapfish, Wacom Technology, Scharffen Berger Chocolate, Summit State Bank and Rodney Strong.

In 2008, she started a freelance social media + PR consulting agency.  She has helped Wine County brands promote themselves online by teaching classes at the Sonoma County Tourism Bureau and has consulted with brands such as the Winegrowers of Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley Winegrowers, Mrs. Grossman’s Stickers, Hewlett Packard, Rodney Strong Vineyards, Michel-Schlumberger, 101.7 The Fox, JS Makeup Artistry, Willi's Wine Bar, Sift: a Cupcakery, Amista Vineyards and Segehsio Family Vineyards, Sonoma County Restaurant Week, Sizzling Tandoor, and Franco's Ristorante... To name a few.

In addition to running her own marketing agency she currently works at Democrasoft, an online collaboration company that created Collaborize Classroom, a free online learning platform for teachers and students.

In 2009 she worked on Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey’s online efforts, blogging, running her Facebook Page and conducted a cross country market research trip on the buying habits of Millennials, called Project Y-ine.

She is an active part of the Sonoma County community, spending time helping to promote and attend food/wine/music events throughout the Wine County. She is a lover of all things that invoke sarcasm, including washing down a cupcake with a glass of pinot, mustaches (real or made with a sharpie), colorful high heels, a crazed love for karaoke and twittering while hanging out with friends.

She blogs about her adventures in food, wine and marketing here and on ShanaRay.com. Photos taken by Candice Caballero.
